We Dream of Justice
June 4, 2020
To CWC members, family, friends, and colleagues:
The murder of George Floyd has broken our hearts, but not CWC's commitment to change and action.
Yesterday, when Minnesota's Attorney General Keith Ellison announced that all four Minneapolis police officers would be charged, he concluded his remarks with a powerful statement:
There is a role for all who dream of a justice that we haven't yet experienced.
Those words gave me pause as I contemplated how CWC can best help achieve this dream.
My conclusion is that we must continue to serve in the role established at our inception – to be a conduit for women and our organizations by providing crucial information, issuing urgent calls to action, and, perhaps most importantly, bringing more women into the political process.
As we move forward to the November general election and beyond, you can count on CWC to be a voice for all who seek justice and equity.
Be strong and safe,
